Tessa and her dog Jesse

Jess & Tess

Owner and operator Tessa Weinstein has been a pet owner/lover since as long as she can remember. She has always had at the very least one dog in her life and couldn’t imagine life without one.

Tessa has been pet sitting for about 5 years now. She has worked and experienced pretty much every side of the pet industry one could. Originally from Florida, she used to sit all of her friends and family’s pets back home. She has worked in an animal shelter as a volunteer, in a dog daycare setting and a veterinarian setting as well. She has experience training family dogs and, at one point, had a family dog that had 12 puppies! She grew up with many pets in her home, including 4 cats and 2 dogs. She's had experience with some exotic pets too. Such as birds and rabbits.

Tessa currently has an American Staffordshire terrier named Jesse. She is her ESA and best friend. Jesse was rescued in 2018 at 3 months. Her and her sister were found after hurricane Michael and placed at my local shelter in Florida. She is the sweetest most sociable dog anyone could ask for. She loves to play and make new friends, k-9 and human alike. Jesse is Tessa's main inspiration for beginning her pet sitting business.

Recently, Tessa has taken her pet sitting on as a full-time position and business. She has been gaining so much experience and knowledge with just about every size, shape, and breed of pet. She plans to continue growing this passion of hers into a successful business. She strives to give other animal lovers the opportunity to excel in the pet industry.

What makes PNW Pet Sitter stand out from other pet care companies is, that we are a 24 hour 7 days/week business. Providing overnight care and daycare we ensure that your pet is getting the most attentive care that they deserve. We operate year round including weekends and holidays. We are also a fully website based business. No more hassling with driving directions to a boarding or daycare facility. PNW Pet Sitter comes straight to you! With our website growing and developing daily, we can provide the quickest responses and easy access to our amazing pet caregivers.

Moreover, through our experience and passion for all animals, we are able to quickly identify a pet's positive/negative behaviors. Once we have done so we adjust our care and tailor it to fit your pet's needs/care level. We understand how to, not only care for, but also respect animals as they so deserve. We approach every pet with a calm demeanor and give them the opportunities to bond with us at their own pace.
PNW Pet Sitter treats every pet as if they were our own. We are a very accommodating and flexible teams of pet caregivers that want only the best care for your pet(s). We look forward to meeting each and every one of your fur babies!

Tessa did an awesome job with our pups! She sent photos and kept us updated on them while we were away, definitely felt comfortable with her at our place and watching our fur babes!

Christin R.

Tessa is the best! I have a 120 lb pit bull mix with some dog behavioral issues. She was attentive, caring, and safe with my dog. My dog was so excited to see her every visit and did amazing in all her walks and dog interactions because of her talents. I can’t thank her enough for her videos, photos, and personal written updates. Can’t wait until I can ask for her expertise again!

Kristen V.

Tessa stayed in our home with our two dogs while we went out of town for a long weekend. She was great! - sent daily updates with pictures, took them on walks, and they seemed they had a great time! I highly recommend Tessa!

Conner F.

Tessa was just amazing with my boy Finn. She updated me with pictures and anecdote after every walk which made being away from him a lot more bearable. I would suggest her to anyone looking for a walker or sitter!!

Joy L.

We had a short trip on our calendar, but none of our usual sitters were able to house sit with our pets on that weekend. So, I turned to, and contacted several potential sitters. Tessa was warm and friendly in our first texts, and offered to come for a quick visit to see if it would be a good fit. As soon as my pups met Tessa, they knew she is a dog-person! She came to the door, and they didn't even bark; they greeted her as a friend, without any hesitation. We took the dogs for a walk, and they were happy to have Tessa along for the trip. When the day arrived for our departure, Tessa arrived on time, and provided updates over the next day and a half. The pups were able to spend the night in the guest room with Tessa, and enjoyed the extra attention. I appreciated the peace of mind knowing that our fur-babies were staying with a responsible, experienced adult, and would not hesitate to hire her again!

Agnes L.

Tessa was great with Cooper. Arrived on time and was very responsive. Would recommend Tessa to anyone!

Dan Y.

Tessa was FANTASTIC! At almost the last minute, we learned that we "probably" wouldn't be able to have our Lab/Bulldog mix stay at the pet hotel. That was a chance we just couldn't take, but ... what to do? Tessa to the rescue. She came over for a meet and greet that very afternoon and we learned immediately that she had the skills to handle our sometimes unpredictable dog, and she also interacted fantastically with us. As if she hadn't already impressed us, she kept us up to date on the happenings at the house while we were gone. We couldn't be more pleased with Tessa and highly recommend her to anyone.

Joe R.

Tessa was great with our two large Newfoundlands that can be a chore to keep them entertained.
She sent a few videos which were quite entertaining while we we gone. We will be using her again

Brian S.

Tessa was wonderful! Leaving our sweet boy over the holidays was hard and she provided daily updates and photos and gave him lots of snuggles and play time. We felt very at ease knowing he was well taken care of and loved - would highly recommend her!!

Adeline J.

Tessa was amazing! Our Boston Terrier is anxious with most new people and dogs. It takes him hours, sometimes days, to warm up to someone. Within 5 minutes of Tessa arriving for the meet & greet, our quirky little boy sat next to her. Her calm demeanor is exactly what he needed. She sent daily pics/videos and a little summary of the day. Ever since we arrived back home, our little fur-boy has been very calm and less anxious. It usually takes him days to relax and get back to his napping routine of 20 hours a day. We will definitely rebook with Tessa again.

Morgan S.

Tessa was amazing with my dog Odin! He can be a little anxious & she was so patient and loving with him. Will definitely be reaching out to her again when I need a sitter in the future!

Alyson T.

Tessa took great care of our pup while we were gone for the week. She checks in regularly, sends photos and videos and left our house clean. We recommend her if you are in need of a sitter!

Trae P.

Tessa was absolutely wonderful to my fur babies. I felt extremely confident they were taken well care of, walked, cuddled, kept with our own regular routine. I highly recommend her and definitely will request her again!!

Linda D.

Tessa was wonderful. I have a very shy dog and she handled the situation very well. She’s prompt, reliable, responsible. She text , sent photos and videos every day . When we messaged her she responded right away . No one could have done a better job . House looked great when we returned. Dogs looked good. You won’t be able to find a better sitter. Tessa is the best!
